Incidently, from the Atchison, KS Daily Globe was also found the following tidbit dated January 22, 1953:
"Charles H. Wheeler, 88, who was born in Brown county Feb. 11, 1861, and for many years a resident of Everest [Kansas], died last week at his home in Topeka, where he moved 14 years ago. He was a member of the Everest Christian church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Tillie Wheeler of the home; three sons, Lloyd of the home, Wayne of Portland, Ore., and George of Botha, Alberta, Canada; two daughters, Mrs. Vera Schwartz, Claremont, Calif., and Mrs. Naomi Swallow, Topeka. Funeral services and burial were at Topeka."
